Guide to Measure Your Dog

When measuring your dog's neck circumference I reccomend a flat tape or a piece of string. Ensure the tape sits comfortably around your dog's neck where their collar sits, usually lower down the neck and the tape is tight (allowing for 2 finger width beneath the tape). Once you have the measurement please let me know the EXACT neck circumference. I will add 2 inch holes either side of the circumference to allow for a comfortable fit. please see demonstration images below. The dog shown has a 21 inch neck. Collar holes would be to 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23 inches. Total material length would be 24 inches from buckle fold to tip.

If you have a very fidgety dog and are unable to measure neck circumference easily, you can measure a previous good fitting collar. When doing this please measure from the fabric length where the buckle folds to the tip of the collar end. Please see Image no.1 for reference.

If you are unsure or have any questions, please send me pictures to discuss. If you would like specific hole widths such as puppy collars or extra large dogs please specify when you get in touch. Please contact us via email  at taliastails@hotmail.com or facebook.
